Aerodine Quality

As an audited FAA Part 145 repair station, our quality plan includes procedures for items such as material traceability, in-process inspections, equipment calibration, training and administrative control. 

Quality plans for new products always start with the specified customer requirements.  In most cases, the customer requirements fall within our audited company-wide quality measures that are already in place for quality, traceability and documentation.  Any specific requirement that falls outside of our internal control system would need to be identified and turned into a process control item.  The end goal of our customer-specific quality plans is to create a closed feedback loop with the customer so that we can take care of any issues as they arise. 

First Article Inspections can be performed by Aerodine assuming they fall within our expansive measuring and reporting capabilities.

Aerodine Machines/Tools

The recipe for a successful composite production program starts with high-quality tooling.  Our proprietary processing methods developed over 30 years of experience ensure the most consistent quality in our composite materials. 

To ensure the highest quality production tooling, Aerodine has a wide variety of equipment to meet our customers’ tooling production needs, including autoclaves, ovens, CNC machining, frozen storage, as well as rapid prototyping and inspection facilities. 

Aerodine Certifications

In 2003, Aerodine Composites became a registered FAA Repair Station (license #RDMR624X) in an effort to optimize its internal quality control to align with one of the toughest industry standards. Operating with our FAA Part 145 Repair Station license enables us to optimize our internal quality control and maintain better compliance not only for the aerospace industry but also for the motorsports, military/defense, and medical industries. Our active FAA inspections ensure strict adherence to federal guidelines in the areas of material traceability, in-process inspections, equipment calibration, training, and administrative control.

Awards & Accolades

Aerodine is the proud recipient of the Louis Schwitzer Award for Engineering Innovation and Excellence. Aerodine’s engineering team was recognized for their courage and conviction to explore and create unique new concepts in racing technology for Indianapolis 500 race cars. In 2020 Aerodine’s President Craig McCarthy was presented with this award for developing the IndyCar Aeroscreen cockpit protection device.
